Fostering Outcomes is an Independent Fostering Agency rated by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding Agency’ (Sept 2015). We recruit, train and support Foster Carers to look after children who cannot live with their own families.
‘This is an outstanding fostering agency that provides an extremely high quality of service to its young people and foster carers. Consequently, outcomes for the young people fostered by the agency are significantly enhanced and their lives are improved greatly’ (Ofsted 1/10/15)
In practice this means you can enjoy higher levels of support and young people achieve better outcomes through being placed within our agency. If you can offer a warm loving home to a young person and have a spare bedroom we’d love to hear from you.
‘One carer who transferred from another fostering service with young people in placement said that the support provided and advice and training given had made a ‘massive difference’ to their young people’s progress and development.’ (Ofsted 1/101/15)
Our families are ordinary people doing extra ordinary work with young people in need of help. With our training, help and support you could be doing the same. We are urgently looking for Foster Carers in all areas of West Yorkshire. If you are thinking of Fostering or thinking of transferring in or around the following areas we’d love to hear from you:
Being rated as an Outstanding agency (see report) is clear evidence of the good work our carers and social worker undertake in providing homes & support to vulnerable young people. As a carer this means you can enjoy higher levels of support and young people achieve better outcomes through being placed within our agency.
Fostering Outcomes also offers one of the best training, support and finance packages of any agency as we see Fostering a professional career choice. So, if you can offer a warm loving home to a young person and have a spare bedroom we’d love to hear from you.
For the areas of Bradford, Leeds, Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakesfield and surrounding areas we are also a Tier 1 preferred provider. This means that agency will be amongst the first to be called when a Local Authority is looking for a home for a young person. We currently have referrals for many young people who we cannot place due to having no vacancies amongst our current carer group.
We have carers of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientation and from a huge diversity of backgrounds. The diversity of children we look after means we require a diverse carer group to enable each child to be matched with the right family enabling them to enjoy a long period of settled care and even permanence through fostering.
In these areas, we’re recruiting families…
- we recruit to a wide age range, 0-18, we are specifically interested in families who would take a child from 8-18yrs;
- able to take more than 1 child. This means you’ll have at least one spare bedroom!;
- who are willing to care for a child (of any age) with disabilities;
- who can provide accommodation for parents and the children. Sometimes the parent will be over 18yrs. Following training some of our carers are involved in the assessment of the parents’ abilities to parent which can be challenging but also very rewarding;
- You should be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to facilitate meetings and contact.
By applying, you’re agreeing to be called back by a member of our team. We’ll talk about fostering and whether it is right for you. There is absolutely no commitment from this call and you are free to ask what ever questions you may have. Good luck. We wish you the very best with your fostering career!
